One of Rolling Stone’s top 100 albums of the decade, Rated R from Queens Of The Stone Age marks its 10th anniversary with the expanded, two-CD Rated R - Deluxe Edition (Interscope/UMe), released August 3, 2010. Added to the original album is a second disc with six B-sides and the band’s memorable summer 2000 Reading Festival concert--featuring nine previously unreleased songs, including live versions of Rated R’s “Feel Good Hit Of The Summer,” “The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret,” “Better Living Through Chemistry” and “Quick And To The Pointless.”

The B-sides are “Ode To Clarissa”; “You’re So Vague,” a spoof of Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain”; covers of Romeo Void’s “Never Say Never” and the Kinks’ “Who’ll Be The Next In Line”; a live version of the album’s “Monsters In The Parasol”; and a re-recording of “Born To Hula,” an early QOTSA song. The other Reading Festival tracks are concert takes on “Ode To Clarissa,” three songs from the band’s debut album (“Regular John,” “Avon” and “You Can’t Quit Me, Baby”), and “Millionaire,” a song originally from Josh Homme side project Desert Sessions.

Issued in June 2000, Rated R was QOTSA’s breakthrough, the band’s second album but first on a major label. Led by singer-songwriter Homme and emerging from influential California desert rockers Kyuss, QOTSA debuted with a self-titled album in 1998 that instantly earned the group accolades. After a tour, QOTSA returned to the studio with Homme’s long-time collaborator and co-producer Chris Goss (of Masters of Reality) as well as former Kyuss bassist-singer-songwriter Nick Oliveri. The result was Rated R, which guested Screaming Trees’ Mark Lanegan (lead vocals on “In The Fade”) and Judas Priest’s Rob Halford (backing on “Feel Good Hit Of The Summer”). But it was the anthemic “The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret” which became the band’s most popular song.

Rated R was, as its NME reviewer wrote, “the best, most important rock album for years.” A gold album, four Grammy nominations, seven more Modern Rock Top 40s and 10 years later, Queens Of The Stone Age return this summer to the Reading Festival and revisit a landmark album with Rated R - Deluxe Edition.

Due to the closure of The Orpheum Theatre, Live Nation Canada will be moving the upcoming Queens of the Stone Age show scheduled for Saturday September 1^st, 2007 to the Bill Copeland Sports Centre in Burnaby.

In an effort to make your concert experience as smooth as possible, we have compiled a list of items pertaining to this show. We hope that any and all of your questions will be answered here.

Bill Copeland Sports Centre

Bill Copeland Sports Centre is located at 3676 Kensington Ave., Burnaby, BC

Entry to the venue

The main entrance to the Bill Copeland Sports Centre is located on Kensington Avenue. The entry will be open to patrons with tickets, and patrons who will be picking up their tickets on site at the Ticketmaster Will Call pickup booth (located at the Main Entrance).

The Ticketmaster Box Office is located at the front of venue, to the left of the main doors. Box Office is located on the lower arena level. Look for the stairs.

Seating

To best facilitate your seating, all patrons with an Orchestra Level seat will be allowed to access the general admission, non-seated floor area. All patrons with Dress Circle, Upper Circle, or Balcony seats will have access to the stand seats only.

Will Call

If you have purchased your tickets through TICKETMASTER and have not picked up the tickets already - please try to pick up your tickets in advance of the show at any Ticketmaster outlet with your Confirmation Number, Credit Card and ID. If you don’t have a chance to pick up your tickets in advance – there will be a Will Call on site.

If you are picking up your tickets at the Bill Copeland Sport Centre Will Call booth, please make sure to bring your ID and the credit card you used to purchase the tickets. You will not be able to get your tickets without these items.

Doors: 6:30pm

Cage The Elephant: 7:30pm – 8:15pm

Queens of the Stone Age: 8:45pm – on.

* Catch the # 144 bus to Bill Copeland Sports Centre – 0.9 km

Expo Line

* Take the train to Metrotown

* Catch the # 110 bus to Bill Copeland Sports Centre – 2.5 km

Parking

* Bill Copeland Sports Centre is limited to 600 parking spots on site at the arena.

* There will also be overflow parking lots on site.

* City of Burnaby parking attendants will be on site to assist you.

* All parking spots are on a first come, first serve basis. Parking is free

* There will also be other sport activities on site.

* Vehicles parked illegally will be subject to ticketing and towing at owner expense.

We encourage you to take transit, or car pool. If you decide to drive, get there early!
